Where will Ron Paul devotees go after S. C.?

To the Thompson camp.

A true conservative will provide them with their only alternative.

I think Fred will get some bleed from Paul's dropping out of the race (the "electability" factor). But, I wouldn't put it past Paul to run as a 3rd party candidate. McKinney's already running as the anti-war wacko candidate on the left. There's going to be lots of room for 3rd parties and they may even decide the election. I don't think anyone's going to get a clear majority this time.

I agree that we may see a number of 3rd party candidates.

McKinney is a special breed of nut.

Ron Paul has been saying he's a Republican and will only run on the Republican party ticket, but with his supporters raising millions of dollars in campaign funds he might just run on a 3rd party ticket at their behest.

And who knows who else we might see once the nominees are finally known - and found to be lacking.
