Whichever candidate is responsible for saying Thompson would drop out and give his support to McCain should be required to quit.
This penalty would require that we have adequate measures in place to require that candidates have a minimum level of maturity to be President.

Throw out the polls - it's time for action.
The last Des Moines Register poll shows Obama ahead of Clinton.
When caucuses begin in 2 days I think voters will increasingly back the perceived frontrunners and those with momentum - Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Romney, and McCain.
I hope I'm wrong, but human nature seems to win out in these situations.
